Red Meadow Ranch

About Us

Red Meadow Ranch was established in 2007. At first, we wanted sheep for our daughter to mutton bust and participate in 4-H. Our starter pair was a cross of St Croix/Katahdin/American Southdown, a ram and ewe, which we were given by a distant neighbor. It was such a good experience we decided that we wanted to raise and breed a purebred flock. After much research the deciding factor for the breed of sheep we would be raising was the rareness, hardiness, and beauty of the St Croix sheep and we would now be the only listed registered St Croix breeder in Northern Washington State.  Prior to owning our first initial sheep we had minimal knowledge of what the sheep would entail. We enjoy having them as a part of our everyday lives and we look forward to learning more and watching them grow.Thank you, to the three breeders, that have made are flock very diverse, good confirmation and disposition.

A little about our sheep

We have a small flock but looking to add more beautiful St. Croix. Our animals are very well taken care of. All of our sheep have individual health charts and scrapie tested (WA3351). We are grateful for their gentle/adaptable nature; it makes us appreciate this rare breed. Having St. Croix sheep has made it a pleasing experience our whole family can participate and enjoy.
